Fan Lihong is the chief physician and PhD graduate mentor of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, as well as serving as the associate director of the operations and Management Department of this hospital.
Dr. Fan serves as the committee member in several physician associations, including the shoulder and elbow surgery section of the Chinese Medical Association, the osteoarthritis Working Committee of the Chinese Medical Association, the spine endoscopy group of the orthopedic Specialty Committee of the Chinese medical Promotion Association, the arthroscopy group of the joint surgery section of Shaanxi Province, and the spine surgery section of Shaanxi Province.
He has spent many visits to the well-known medical institutions such as the stem cell research center of Yang Ming University in Taiwan, the Nepean hospital in Australia, the joint replacement center in Texas, USA, and the ameos hospital in Berlin, Germany for his study. Invited to give special presentations and mural exchanges at the 2015 World Congress on arthroplasty, the Asian joint annual meeting.
He has published more than 20 papers in international prominent medical journals such as bone, scientific reports, Journal of vascular surgery, hosted two National Natural Science Foundation of China, participated in research on multiple topics, and participated in three monographs of translational medicine.
Dr. Fan's laboratory studies three directions: sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery, bone and joint repair reconstruction, artificial joint replacement and revision.
Hosting research topics:
1. HIF-1 α And BMP-7 cotransfection with MSCs transplantation for osteonecrosis of the femoral head: an experimental study (National Natural Science Foundation of China young program)
2. 3D microstructure printing lithium incorporation β- Treatment of osteonecrosis of the femoral head by transfection of mesenchymal stem cells with TCP compounded with microRNA-21 (National Natural Science Foundation of China - facial project 81572145)
