Wei Jin, MD&PhD, Chief physician, Professor, Doctoral supervisor, Deputy director of the Department of Cardiology, Second affiliated hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University.
After graduating from the department of medicine of Xi 'an jiaotong university in 1988, Wei Jin have been working in the department of cardiology of the second affiliated hospital of Xi 'an jiaotong university ever since. In 1999, she obtained the doctor's degree in internal medicine (MD, PhD). In 2008, Wei Jin was promoted to chief physician and professor, and passed the selection of doctoral supervisor.
As a PhD student mentor with a professional degree and scientific degree in internal medicine, Wei Jin's main research interests are heart failure and cardiac rehabilitation. Since 1993, she has been engaged in the research of cardiac energy metabolism and mitochondrial damage. She has presided over more than 10 national and all levels of scientific research projects, including 3 national Natural Science Foundation of China projects. She has published more than 100 academic papers, including more than 40 SCI papers, and won the Youth Science and Technology Award of Shaanxi Province and 3 provincial and municipal scientific research achievement awards. In 2008, she went to the United States as a visiting scholar and established a good cooperative relationship with KANSAS University School of Medicine and Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
Wei Jin has been working as a clinical cardiologist for more than 30 years, accumulated extensive clinical experience, and has meticulously regulated the diagnosis and treatment of patients, especially adept at the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease, hypertension, heart failure and the comprehensive management of cardiovascular disease rehabilitation and prevention. As the chairman of Shaanxi Alliance of Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Rehabilitation Professional Committee of China Heart Federation, she is in charge of the first national cardiac rehabilitation centers in Shaanxi Province and the first national cardiac rehabilitation training base in Northwest China. She has carried forward the advantages of the department in the prevention and treatment of endemic cardiomyopathy (Keshan disease), presided over the revision of the national "Keshan Disease Treatment and Efficacy Assessment Criteria", developed the clinical pathway of Keshan disease chronic heart failure in Shaanxi Province and popularized its application in Keshan disease areas, and currently acts as the director of Shaanxi Provincial Endemic Disease Clinical Research Center. Wei Jin attaches great importance to the training and education of medical undergraduates and postgraduates, teaching by personal example as well as verbal instruction, and has cultivated doctors and postgraduates all over the country.
