Professor Congxia Wang

Personal profile:Wang Congxia, MD, first-grade chief physician, professor, and doctoral supervisor of the Department of Cardiology, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, ‘Ming-Yi’ (名医) of Xi'an Jiaotong University, ‘Ming-Shi’(名师) of Xi'an Jiaotong University, the former deputy director of Department of Cardiology. Presided over or participated in more than 16 research projects, including one project and two projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China and Shaanxi Province, separately, and awarded 8 provincial or school-level achievements. Also served as chairman or members in more than 30 national or provincial committees, and served as the editorial board and reviewer of dozens of international and domestic learned periodical.
Research interests:Cardiovascular and metabolic diseases and Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, proficient in complex coronary stent and pacing and other interventional surgery.
Scientific research:More than 300 papers, including 53 SCI papers and 18 textbooks have been published. Presided over and participated in 5 national funds and 7 provincial projects. Presided over 1 school-level key teaching reform project of Xi'an Jiaotong University and won 6 provincial and department-level achievements. It has trained 56 doctors and masters and undertakes the teaching of internal medicine and diagnostics for 5-year, 7-year, 8-year, and foreign students.
