Professor Anne Hosmalin, the Director of International Affairs and the Head of Dendritic Cell Team at the Cochin Institute, and Professor Peter van Endert, the Head of the Department of Immunology, Microbiology and Hematology of the Institut Necker Enfants Malades, from University of Paris, France were invited to visit Core Research Laboratory led by Professor Li Ke at our Daminggong Hospital for academic exchange and cooperation, October 25-29th, 2019.



During the visit, Professor Hosmalin and Professor van Endert delivered excellent talks entitled “HIV antigen presentation by human DC populations” and “Nanoparticles for treatment of overt type 1 diabetes in NOD mice”, respectively. Talks were frequented by the scientists and medical doctors from our hospital and guests from the Fourth Military Hospital and Tangdu Hospital.

Group of Professor Malgorzata Garstka (Gao Xia) discussed with the professors from the University of Paris ongoing research and possible scientific cooperation. Professor van Endert also visited the Endocrinology Department led by professor Xu Jing and discussed current diagnostic methods in the detection of diabetes-induced complications employed in our hospital.

Professor Hosmalin and Professor van Endert received a Distinguished Professor of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University titles presented by Professor Ji Fanpu on behalf of our hospital. The visit opens discussions between the University of Paris and our hospital about cooperation and international exchange.
